The International Institute for African Defense, Security and Governance (IIADSGov) is an independent international training and research institute based in Washington Dc -United States and, is focused on building higher quality human and institutional capacities in Africa. We are a corportate member of the U.S National Defense Industry Association (NDIA). The Institute leverages public policies to promote immediate, medium-term and long-term development reforms in African defense, security and governance. IIADSGov uses research and policy analysis to assist African States to articulate, design and implement people oriented reforms and capacity building programs. With emphasis on addressing critical development concerns in the continent like insecurity, corruption, poverty and women empowerment, the institute is poised to assist Africa fast track her development by building higher quality leaders and bridging institutional gaps. Relying on knowledge-based resources, value re-orientation, peer improvement paradigms and technological acquisition and application, the Institute helps stimulate and sustain measurable impact in security and governance in the continent.
IIADSGov prioritizes African strategic leadership development by providing the unique platform for strategic leadership engagement and experience sharing with U.S and global peers, to produce higher quality leaders and enduring democratic institutions. IIADSGov helps in mentoring African leaders to imbibe best practices in all strata of leadership. As a pan African organization, the Institute works with African Governments and development partners to design and implement research driven capacity building programmes to improve national security and governance in the continent, taking into consideration the socio-cultural and political peculiarities of the continent. The International Institute for African Defense, Security and Governance also facilitates and coordinates institutional partnerships in training and research with Governments (MDAs), Multilateral organizations (donor/development partners) and Academia in the US, Africa and in other parts of the world to meet its set objectives.
